Check your room photo before you edit it
Pick a photo and this page reads its resolution, framing, light and sharpness, then says what a preview made from it would inherit. It runs on your own device: the photo is never uploaded, and there is nothing to sign up for.
Check a photo
Or drop one here. JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB.
The photo is read on your own device and never sent anywhere. There is nothing to sign up for, and nothing is kept when you close the page.
What this tool is
- Where it runs
- In your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
- Account needed
- None, for the checker.
- Photos it reads
- A JPEG, PNG or WebP of up to 10 MB
- Full-size result
- A photo 3072 px or longer on its long edge
What it measures, and why it matters
Interify changes only the areas you mark and keeps the rest of your room as it was; a style, if you pick one, restyles the whole room. Either way the photo is what it works from, which is why these four readings matter: each one is something a result inherits from the photo rather than something an edit can add.
- Resolution
- A result is never larger than the photo it was made from, and never larger than 3072 px on the long edge. So a photo at 3072 px or more gets the full size, and a smaller one sets the size of its own result. Under 1024 px — a screenshot, or a photo saved out of a chat — a new finish is too small to judge.
- Framing
- Landscape gets two walls and the floor line into one frame, which is what makes a new floor or a repainted wall look like it belongs. Portrait suits a tall thing: a full-height closet, a fireplace wall. A panorama is stitched from several frames, so the walls arrive gently bent and no edit can straighten them.
- Light
- A marked edit keeps the rest of your room as it was, and a style restyles the whole room — either way the light in the result is the light in the photo. The checker reads the mean brightness and how much of the frame is crushed to black or blown out to white, because detail that isn't in the photo can't be in the preview.
- Sharpness
- Measured as how much of the photo's contrast sits in its edges, divided by its own contrast — so a flat, low-contrast room doesn't read as a blurred one, and a small photo blown up doesn't read as a sharp one. A soft photo gives a soft result.
Questions about the checker
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The page reads the file on your own device, draws a small copy onto a canvas in your browser and measures that. The photo is never sent anywhere, nothing is stored, and closing the tab leaves nothing behind.
Does a photo have to pass to be edited?
No. The only two hard limits are the format and the size: A JPEG, PNG or WebP of up to 10 MB. Interify will edit a dark or soft photo — it just makes a dark or soft result from it, because the photo is what every edit starts from.
Why does it say my photo is too small?
It says the result would be small, which is different. A result is never larger than the photo, so a 900 px photo gives a 900 px result rather than one at 3072 px. Photos that come back small are usually screenshots, or copies a messaging app resized on the way.
Can it check a HEIC photo from my iPhone?
No, and Interify doesn't take HEIC either. Set the iPhone camera to "Most Compatible" so it shoots JPEG, or export the photo as a JPEG first.
Does a good photo mean a good result?
It removes the reasons a preview disappoints that are in the photo rather than in the edit: too few pixels to see a finish, a bent panorama, a room with no detail in its shadows, a soft frame. What you mark and what you write still decide the rest.
Photo checks out? Edit it
Mark the wall, the floor or the piece you want changed, write a note for each area, and everything you didn't mark stays as it was. You start with 3 credits and no card.
